With experience as a learning specialist in inclusive middle and high school settings, professional development coach, and pre-service professor, I offer solutions that are researched based and proven effective in many different classroom settings and across all content areas. I work with teachers during their first 5 years in the classroom, helping them to develop strategies and improve skills that will carry them through their careers.

The strategies and tools that I promote have been proven to increase student engagement, raise academic achievement, and improve teacher retention.

  • I provide private, personalized coaching for teachers in their first 5 years of classroom experience who wish to improve their practice. The teachers I have worked with report greater student engagement, higher overall achievement, and a renewed passion for educating. I focus not only on strategies for student learning, but also on those that will improve teacher satisfaction and work-life balance, which are key for teacher retention in the field.

  • I provide professional development for individual departments on strategies that can be implemented immediately in the classroom with little additional resources required.

  • Special educators fill a very unique and vital role in every school. They deserve professional development as unique and vital as their work. Pulling from almost 2 decades in special education, I provide these teachers with coaching and professional development for their specific needs.

  • Every school has unique needs when designing programs to meet student need. I work with administrators to develop programs that work for them, are sustainable, and meet both student and staff needs.
