Sandra Spaziani is an educator and artist based in the Hudson Valley of New York

She has a passion for helping others through education, to become the best version of themselves, and through art, to enjoy the glory of God as displayed in His creation.

As an Educator

She has been a special education teacher and teacher-trainer for over 16 years, working primarily in the middle and high school grades, as well as adult education. Her professional development work focuses providing general education and special education teachers the tools they need to choose and implement research-based, practical strategies for improving student engagement and raising student achievement.

She has experience in all content areas, though her specialty is in special education and mathematics, specifically pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry. She works with special education departments and teachers to improve the overall success rate of students with disabilities.

She has recently begun a non-profit arm to her education work. Ten Talent Ministries was opened in July of 2022 and is an adult education center focused on helping adults get their high school equivalency diploma and enter the workforce.

As an Artist

Born and raised in Upstate New York, she began drawing and painting as a child. For many years it was just a favorite past-time. She began creating art more seriously while teaching special education in New York City. Sandra’s faith in God and love for nature inspire are her inspirations. Spending time in nature became a restorative practice for her and a focus on landscape and nature photography developed.

She is currently interested in images that portray how light breaks through the darkness. Creating images that bring hope, rest, peace, and restoration to those who view them is her goal when creating art. Sandra works in both oil and watercolor. Her work is available at various art fairs throughout the Hudson Valley.
